Haidy L. Lee, MD, is a Radiation Oncologist at WVCI. Her areas of clinical expertise include stereotactic body radiation therapy, image-guided radiation therapy, Gamma Knife stereotactic radiosurgery, and radiation implants. She has a special interest in treating patients with lung, liver, and spine tumors with stereotactic body radiation therapy.
Dr. Lee received her bachelor's degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of California, Berkeley, graduating with honors. She earned her medical degree from the University of California, Irvine, College of Medicine, where she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the national honor's society for medical studies. Dr. Lee completed an internship in internal medicine at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, Oregon, and she completed her residency in radiation oncology at the University of Virginia.
Dr. Lee has assisted in efforts to develop a melanoma vaccine, and she has investigated the optimal method for performing prostate implants. She has also performed genetic research on E. coli. Dr. Lee has received numerous awards, including the American Medical Women's Association's Glasgow-Rubin Achievement Citation.
