Patient Self-Referral

Patients with an established diagnosis of cancer or a blood disorder may request an evaluation at WVCI. If you have been receiving care from another local healthcare provider or you are from outside of our region and would like to be seen at WVCI, please call Toll-Free (888)384-9822 and request an appointment.

Prospective patients will be screened to ensure that they have an established diagnosis of cancer or a blood disorder. Patients without a diagnosis who are worried about symptoms should consult with their primary care provider first.

Patients are encouraged to request a referral from their healthcare provider as this facilitates insurance authorization and medical record transfer in many cases.

Our new patient coordinators can help determine which physician is most appropriate for an individual patient. Requests for particular physicians can be accommodated in most situations.

If a patient is unable to obtain a physician referral, they may still request an evaluation. In this case, the patient will be required to verify that their insurance authorizes the evaluation. Without authorization, the patient may be responsible for the cost of the appointment. In addition, the patient will be required to obtain copies of appropriate medical records. Our coordinators can help determine what documents are necessary.

At WVCI we take pride in providing quality care for patients with cancer and blood disorders. Whether you are from Salem, Corvallis, Albany, Roseburg, or right here in Eugene / Springfield, we look forward to helping you on your journey.
